After a youth spent behind the Iron Curtain my love for world cinema and travel began as the Berlin wall came down and I 'escaped' Germany to explore. After roaming Europe I settled in London where I worked in independent cinemas to pay for my studies and was then inspired to embark on a career in film distribution. I became the Head of Marketing for Tartan Films, a role I very much enjoyed, until I made the life change of starting a family and emigrating to Wellington, with my Kiwi partner. From the other side of the world, my passion for cinema helps to fulfill my need for travel and escape.
