On Saturday 6 August we hosted the World Premiere of Aotearoa film Geoff Dixon: Portraits of Us at The Roxy Cinema.
Directors Glenis Giles and Clare O’Leary introduced the documentary and we held a Q&A with the filmmakers following the screening, moderated by artist, poet and Arts Foundation Laureate Gregory O'Brien.
Geoff Dixon: Portraits of Us invites audiences into the magnificently cluttered studio of Aotearoa New Zealand artist Geoff Dixon as he prepares works for an upcoming exhibition, transforming children’s toys and hard enamel paint into surreal collages of spacecraft and birdlife.
