A discussion focused on celebrating the revitalisation of indigenous language through the use of music, theatre and film. From our festival programme, films Alien Weaponry: Kua Tupu Te Ara and Taki Rua Theatre - Breaking Barriers follow a band and a theatre company using their artform to revitilise the use of Te Reo Māori with a heavy focus on youth involvement. These two films will act as a lift-off point for a conversation dissecting the importance of art as a medium to preserve language.
